Persue - Wet Paint Shanghai Exhibition - 2019

We embarked on an exciting venture to introduce the Wet Paint movement to China by taking over a historically preserved building in the rejuvenated Old Docks neighborhood of Shanghai.

Within this remarkable 8000+ square foot tri-level space, we were able to curate an experiential art show that pays homage to the iconic 149th St & Grand Concourse subway station from the 1980's. This renowned location was home to the infamous Writer's Bench, where artists gathered to study and share ideas on this exciting artform called graffiti. The trains functioned as an analog form of the internet, spreading these ideas around the city.

The exhibition showcases a stunning array of original canvas works by the talented artist Persue, as well as over 50 authentic Wet Paint signs meticulously crafted by various artists. Visitors were also be captivated by life-sized sculptures, larger-than-life inflatables, a mesmerizing neon wall, and live graffiti art created on-site by the talented Persue1 and WaneCOD. Additionally, we have transformed the basement into a vibrant BunnyKitty disco, adding a touch of whimsy to the overall ambiance.
